Articles Processing Charge

Journal Business Model

Introduction:

Lingua: Journal of Linguistics and Language operates on an open access model, providing unrestricted access to all readers and authors. This approach aims to maximize the global reach and impact of linguistic and language research, benefiting academic, professional, and public communities. To sustain this model and cover publication costs, we implement an Article Processing Charge (APC) system.

Article Processing Charges (APC):

Effective August 2024, all accepted articles are subject to an APC. This fee covers various publication-related expenses, including:

  1. Peer review management
  2. Editorial oversight
  3. Production and typesetting
  4. Online hosting and distribution
  5. Long-term digital archiving

APC Structure:

  • International authors: USD 25
  • Indonesian authors: Rp 350,000

Authors must confirm their ability to pay the APC upon submission. The fee is invoiced after acceptance and does not influence the peer review process. We strongly advise authors to secure funding before submission to ensure a smooth publication process.

APC Waiver Policy:

To promote inclusivity and support researchers from diverse economic backgrounds, we offer the following waiver options:

  1. Full exemption for authors from low-income countries
  2. Complete waiver for corresponding authors with a Scopus or Web of Science h-index of 15 or higher
  3. Discount of Rp 50,000.00 per review for journal reviewers

Article Submission Charges (ASC):

Lingua: Journal of Linguistics and Language does not charge for article submissions, encouraging a wide range of contributions from diverse linguistic fields.
