Jurnal Fisika Terapan dan Inovasi Indonesia supports responsible data sharing, research transparency, reproducibility, and FAIR data practices in applied physics and technological innovation.
The journal encourages authors to make research data supporting their findings available whenever ethically, legally, and practically possible. In research involving applied physics, instrumentation, materials, energy, computation, modeling, and technological innovation, data sharing must respect intellectual property, safety, confidentiality, contractual obligations, proprietary information, research permits, and applicable laws.
1. Data Availability Statement
All research manuscripts must include a Data Availability Statement indicating whether supporting data are available, where they can be accessed, and any applicable conditions or restrictions. Relevant research data may include raw and processed measurements, experimental results, spectra, images, simulation outputs, numerical datasets, computational code, calibration records, material characterization data, laboratory observations, or other files underlying the reported findings.

The data supporting the findings of this study are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request, subject to applicable legal, technical, intellectual-property, and confidentiality requirements.

2. Data Repositories & Documentation
Where data can be shared, authors are encouraged to deposit them in a recognized disciplinary, general-purpose, or institutional repository that provides stable access and, preferably, a persistent identifier such as a DOI.
Appropriate repositories may include Zenodo, Figshare, Harvard Dataverse, Dryad, Open Science Framework (OSF), or recognized institutional and disciplinary repositories appropriate for physics, engineering, materials science, energy research, or computational science.
Where relevant, authors are encouraged to deposit supporting computational materials such as analysis scripts, simulation code, numerical models, parameter files, algorithms, calibration information, and reproducible workflows, provided that doing so does not violate intellectual-property, security, licensing, or contractual obligations.
Data should be provided in appropriate, reusable, and preferably open or machine-readable formats, accompanied by sufficient metadata, variable descriptions, units, experimental conditions, calibration details, software versions, code documentation, and methodological information to support interpretation, verification, and reuse.
3. Ethical, Legal & Confidential Data
Data sharing must not compromise research ethics, personal information, intellectual property, proprietary technologies, confidential industrial information, laboratory security, national or institutional regulations, safety requirements, or third-party agreements.

4. Data Citation & FAIR Principles
Shared datasets should be cited appropriately in the manuscript and reference list. Where available, authors should provide the dataset's creator(s), title, repository, year, version, and DOI or other persistent identifier.

FAIR does not necessarily mean that all scientific or technological data must be completely open. Where access is restricted, authors should provide sufficiently informative metadata and explain the conditions under which data, code, or supporting materials may be requested or accessed.
5. Editorial Oversight
The Editorial Team may request access to supporting or underlying data when necessary to verify reported results, evaluate experimental or computational consistency, investigate research-integrity concerns, or assess compliance with this policy.
Where unrestricted disclosure is not possible, editors may request confidential access to relevant raw or processed data, laboratory records, calibration files, computational outputs, code, simulation parameters, analysis scripts, or methodological documentation needed for editorial verification.
Inaccurate or misleading data availability statements, unjustified refusal to provide data or supporting documentation for legitimate editorial verification, or serious inconsistencies between the published article and underlying data may result in further editorial review and appropriate action under the journal's publication-ethics and post-publication policies.
This policy is informed by the COPE Core Practice on Data and Reproducibility, the COPE–DOAJ–OASPA–WAME Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, the FAIR Guiding Principles, and established international practices for transparent, reproducible, and responsible scientific data sharing.
