Articles Processing Charge
Article Processing Charge (APC)
Transparent publication charges supporting sustainable, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly publishing.
Politeia: Journal of Public Administration and Political Science and International Relations operates under an open-access publishing model. All published articles are freely available to readers worldwide without subscription fees or paywall restrictions.
1. Journal Business Model
Politeia is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal that publishes research in public administration, political science, public policy, governance, diplomacy, and international relations.
To support the financial sustainability of open-access publication, the journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to manuscripts that have been formally accepted for publication.
The journal does not impose an Article Submission Charge (ASC). Authors may submit manuscripts for editorial assessment and peer review without paying a submission fee.
Authors are required to confirm their ability to cover the applicable APC during submission, unless they are eligible for an approved waiver or discount. The APC is invoiced only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.

4. APC Payment Policy
5. APC Waivers and Discounts
Politeia provides APC waivers and reviewer discounts to encourage equitable participation in scholarly publishing and recognize contributions to the journal's peer-review activities.
6. Editorial Independence and Financial Transparency
Politeia maintains a strict separation between editorial decision-making and financial considerations.
APC payment, the ability to pay, and eligibility for a waiver or discount do not influence peer-review recommendations or editorial decisions.
All submissions are assessed according to their originality, scientific and scholarly quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, analytical contribution, and suitability for the journal's focus and scope.
The APC does not constitute payment for acceptance. Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee publication, and payment is requested only following formal editorial acceptance.
7. Open Access and Reader Rights
The APC supports a publishing model in which published articles remain freely accessible to readers, researchers, students, policymakers, practitioners, and institutions worldwide.
Readers are not required to pay subscription fees or article-access charges. Published articles are made available under the journal's applicable open-access and copyright licensing terms.
