Publication Ethics

Politeia: Journal of Public Administration and Political Science and International Relations is steadfastly committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and actively preventing all forms of publication malpractice. Our Editorial Board takes this responsibility seriously and maintains a zero-tolerance policy for unethical behavior. We mandate that all editors, authors, and reviewers adhere to exemplary publication practices, in accordance with the COPE Code of Conduct for Journal Editors. Authors and Contributors

  1. Authorship : Each author is presumed to have consented to the content and submission process, including securing necessary permissions.
  2. Disclosure Requirements: Authors must furnish information on funding, interests, and ethical approvals.
  3. Corresponding Author Duties: This author orchestrates approvals, manages communications, and ensures transparency.
  4. Contribution Transparency: We feature author contribution statements in each manuscript.
  5. Affiliation Policy: Primary affiliation should reflect the research location and remains unchanged post-publication.
  6. Authorship Changes: Post-submission changes require unanimous approval. No alterations are permitted after acceptance.
  7. Author Identification: ORCID ID usage is encouraged during submission.
  8. Deceased or Incapacitated Authors: Inclusion requires approval from a legal representative.
  9. Confidentiality: All journal communications are confidential unless explicitly permitted to share.
  10. Authorship Disputes: Authors must resolve disputes independently. Unresolved issues may lead to manuscript withdrawal.
  11. AI-Generated Content: AI tools cannot claim authorship and their use must be transparently described.
  12. Post-Publication Name Changes: We update metadata discreetly to protect privacy.
  13. Journal Staff as Authors: Those involved in manuscript compilation are excluded from related editorial decisions.
  14. Author Ethical Responsibilities: Authors must maintain scientific integrity and respect editorial decisions.
  15. Error Correction: Authors are obligated to rectify significant errors upon discovery.
  16. Reviewer Suggestions: Authors may propose independent reviewers with appropriate contact information.

Complaints and Appeals

  1. General Process: Initial complaints are addressed by the Editor-in-Chief or responsible editor.
  2. Scientific Content Complaints: The editor evaluates arguments and may seek independent opinions.

  4. Publication Ethics Complaints: Editors follow COPE guidelines and may seek advice for complex cases.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose all potential research-influencing interests, including:

Post-Publication Discussion

Politeia: Journal of Public Administration and Political Science and International Relations may remove articles from our online platform if:

  1. Content infringes legal rights.
  2. A court order or government directive mandates removal.
  3. Content poses a serious health risk.

Removals may be temporary or permanent, with bibliographic metadata retained.
