Journal Business Model
Communica: Journal of Communication operates on an open access model, ensuring unrestricted access to all readers and authors. To sustain this model and cover publication costs, including peer review management, journal production, online hosting, and long-term archiving, we implement an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted articles.
Article Processing Charges (APC):
For articles accepted from August 2024 onwards:
- International authors: USD 25
- Indonesian authors: Rp 350,000
Authors must confirm their ability to pay the APC at the time of submission. The charge is billed post-acceptance and does not influence the peer review process.
APC Waivers:
- Authors from low-income countries are exempt from the APC.
- Corresponding authors with an h-index of 15 or higher on Scopus or Web of Science receive a full waiver.
- Reviewers for the journal receive a discount of Rp 50,000 per review completed.
We do not charge for article submissions.
