Journal Business Model

Journal Business Model

Introduction:

Logistica: Journal of Logistic and Transportation operates on an open access model, providing free and unrestricted access to all readers worldwide. This approach maximizes the dissemination and impact of research in the fields of logistics and transportation.

Article Processing Charges (APC):

To sustain our open access model and maintain high-quality publication services, we implement an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted articles. This fee covers the costs associated with peer review management, production, online hosting, and long-term digital archiving.

APC Structure:

  • International authors: USD 25
  • Indonesian authors: Rp 350,000

The APC is applicable to all articles accepted after August 2024.

APC Payment Process:

  1. Authors must confirm their ability to pay the APC at the time of submission.
  2. The APC is billed only after the article has been accepted for publication.
  3. Payment of the APC does not influence the peer review process or editorial decision-making.
  4. Authors are required to secure funds for the APC prior to submission, not after acceptance.

Article Submission Charges (ASC):

Logistica: Journal of Logistic and Transportation does not charge any fees for article submissions.

APC Waiver Policy:

  1. Authors from low-income countries are exempt from the APC.
  2. Corresponding authors with an h-index of 15 or higher on Scopus or Web of Science receive a full APC waiver.
  3. Reviewers for the journal receive a discount of Rp 50,000.00 per review conducted.

Rationale for APC:

The APC model allows us to:

  • Maintain a rigorous and efficient peer review process
  • Provide professional copyediting and typesetting services
  • Ensure rapid online publication and global distribution
  • Guarantee long-term digital preservation of all published content

Transparency:

We are committed to full transparency in our pricing and waiver policies. All APC information is clearly communicated to authors before submission, and any changes to our APC structure are announced well in advance of implementation.
