Retraction, Withdrawal, & Correction Policy (RWC)

Article Retraction:

Articles may be retracted for significant scientific errors, duplicate publication, or ethical issues. The process involves:

  1. Submission to the journal editor
  2. Evaluation following COPE guidelines
  3. Review by the Ethics Advisory Board
  4. Communication of the final decision
  5. Publication of a retraction statement

Article Withdrawal:

Authors are not permitted to withdraw submitted manuscripts without penalty:

  • Withdrawal during peer-review: $10 USD/Rp 100,000 fine
  • Withdrawal after acceptance: $15 USD/Rp 200,000 fine
  • Withdrawal of published "Article in Press": $25 USD/Rp 350,000 fine

Failure to pay results in a 1-year blacklist for the author and their affiliate.

Article Correction:

Corrections may be published for honest errors or incorrect author lists. They are categorized as:

  • Publisher's correction (erratum)
  • Author's correction (corrigendum)
  • Addendum

Article Removal:

In rare cases, articles may be removed if they defame, violate legal rights, or pose serious health risks. Metadata is retained with a removal notice.

Article Replacement:

In cases of serious health risks, a flawed article may be retracted and replaced with a revised version, including a link to the corrected article and its document history.
