Journal Business Model
Politeia: Journal of Public Administration and Political Science and International Relations operates on an open access model, providing free access to all readers and authors. To cover publication expenses, including peer review management, journal production, online hosting, and long-term archiving, we implement an Article Processing Charge (APC) for published articles.
Article Processing Charges (APC):
Effective August 2024:
- International authors: USD 25
- Indonesian authors: Rp 350,000
Authors must confirm their ability to pay the APC upon submission. The charge is invoiced post-acceptance and does not influence the peer review process.
Our APC structure is designed to be competitive while ensuring the sustainability of our high-quality publication process. We regularly review our pricing to maintain affordability for authors while covering necessary operational costs.
APC Waivers:
To promote inclusivity and support researchers from diverse economic backgrounds, we offer the following waiver options:
- Full waiver for authors from low-income countries
- Waiver for corresponding authors with an h-index of 15 or higher on Scopus or Web of Science
- Discount of Rp 50,000.00 per review for journal reviewers
These waivers aim to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder the dissemination of valuable research.
Article Submission Charges (ASC):
We do not charge for article submissions, maintaining an open and accessible platform for all researchers.
