Publication Ethics

At Medicor : Journal of Health Informatics and Health Policy, we are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. Our Editorial Board actively works to prevent all forms of publication malpractice. We have a zero-tolerance policy for unethical behavior. All editors, authors, and reviewers must adhere to good publication practices, as outlined in the COPE Code of Conduct for Journal Editors. Authors and Contributors

  1. Authorship: All listed authors are considered to have agreed to the content and submission process.
  2. Disclosures: Authors must provide information on funding, interests, and ethical approvals.
  3. Corresponding Author: Coordinates approvals, manages communications, and ensures transparency.
  4. Contribution Statements: We publish author contribution statements in each manuscript.
  5. Affiliation: Primary affiliation should reflect where the research was conducted.
  6. Authorship Changes: Require approval from all authors; not allowed post-acceptance.
  7. ORCID: Authors are encouraged to use ORCID IDs.
  8. Deceased/Incapacitated Authors: Inclusion requires legal representative approval.
  9. Confidentiality: All journal communications are considered confidential.
  10. Authorship Disputes: Authors are expected to resolve disputes themselves.
  11. AI-Generated Content: Must be transparently described; AI tools cannot be authors.
  12. Post-Publication Name Changes: We update metadata without announcement.
  13. Journal Staff as Authors: Excluded from editorial decisions on their manuscripts.
  14. Ethical Responsibilities: Authors must maintain scientific integrity.
  15. Error Correction: Authors must correct significant errors upon discovery.
  16. Reviewer Suggestions: Authors may suggest independent reviewers.

 

Complaints and Appeals

  1. Initial Handling: Editor-in-Chief or responsible editor handles initial complaints.
  2. Scientific Content Appeals: Editor assesses arguments and may seek independent opinion.
  3. Process Complaints: Editorial team investigates and provides feedback.
  4. Ethics Complaints: We follow COPE guidelines and may seek advice in difficult cases.

 

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose all potential interests affecting their research, including:

  1. Research Grants and Support
  2. Employment and Affiliations
  3. Financial and Non-Financial Interests

 

Post-Publication Discussion

Medicor : Journal of Health Informatics and Health Policy may remove articles under specific conditions, such as legal infringements or health risks. Removals may be temporary or permanent, with bibliographic metadata retained.

 

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers must maintain confidentiality, provide objective feedback, and avoid conflicts of interest.

 

Editor Responsibilities

Editors have full authority over article acceptance, ensure publication quality, and maintain ethical standards.
