Peer Review Process
Jurnal Otomotif Indonesia adheres to a double-blind peer review process to ensure the academic quality and credibility of all published articles. This process maintains the anonymity of both authors and reviewers, ensuring an unbiased evaluation.
Peer Review Steps:
- Initial Screening:
- Upon submission, all manuscripts are first screened by the editorial team to ensure that they fit within the journal's scope and meet the basic submission criteria.
- Double-Blind Peer Review:
- After passing the initial screening, manuscripts are sent for double-blind peer review, where two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant subject area evaluate the paper. Reviewers assess the manuscript’s quality, originality, methodology, and relevance to the journal's scope.
- In case of significant discrepancies between reviewers' reports, a third reviewer may be invited to provide a balanced assessment.
- Decision:
- Based on reviewer feedback, authors are informed of the decision, which may include acceptance, minor or major revisions, or rejection.
- Authors must respond to reviewer comments in their revisions and resubmit the manuscript, which is then re-evaluated to ensure that the reviewers' feedback has been adequately addressed.
- Final Decision:
- The Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the editorial board, makes the final decision on the publication of the article. The final decision is communicated to the authors promptly.
Review Duration: The journal strives for an efficient review process, with an expected review period of 3-4 weeks. Delays in the process, if any, are communicated to the authors with the option to withdraw their submission.
Confidentiality: The journal upholds strict confidentiality standards, ensuring that all manuscripts are treated as confidential documents during the review process. Reviewers are expected to maintain discretion and not disclose any part of the manuscripts they are reviewing.
