Articles Processing Charge
Journal Business Model
Introduction:
Harmonia: Journal of Music and Arts operates on an open access model, providing free access to all readers and authors. We believe this approach enhances global accessibility and utilization of research in music and arts, benefiting professional, academic, and broader communities. To sustain this model and cover publication costs, including peer review management, journal production, online hosting, and long-term archiving, we implement an Article Processing Charge (APC) for published articles.
Article Processing Charges (APC):
Effective August 2024, all accepted articles are subject to an APC. This charge covers various costs associated with publication and ensures the sustainability of our open access model. The APC structure is as follows:
- International authors: USD 25
- Indonesian authors: Rp 350,000
Authors are required to confirm their ability to pay the APC at the time of submission. The APC is billed after article acceptance and does not influence the peer review process. We strongly advise authors to secure APC funds prior to submission to ensure smooth publication processes.
Article Submission Charges (ASC):
Harmonia: Journal of Music and Arts does not impose any charges for article submissions. This policy aims to encourage a wide range of submissions from diverse backgrounds.
APC Waiver Policy:
To promote inclusivity and support researchers from various economic backgrounds, we offer the following APC waiver options:
- Authors from low-income countries are fully exempt from APC.
- Corresponding authors with a Scopus or Web of Science h-index of 15 or higher receive a full APC waiver.
- Reviewers for Harmonia: Journal of Music and Arts receive a discount of Rp 50,000.00 per review conducted.
These waivers aim to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder the dissemination of valuable research in music and arts.
