Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

Catalyx: Journal of Process Chemistry and Technology employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure high-quality publications:

  1. Preliminary Evaluation: The Editor-in-Chief screens submissions for scope alignment and adherence to guidelines.
  2. External Expert Assessment: Manuscripts passing initial screening are assigned to a handling editor, who forwards them to at least two subject matter experts for double-blind review.
  3. Decision Making: Based on at least two expert reviews, possible outcomes include:
  • Rejection
  • Request for minor revisions
  • Request for major revisions
  • Acceptance without changes
  • Recommendation for resubmission

In cases of conflicting reviews, a third reviewer may be engaged. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision with editorial board approval.

  1. Revision Phase: Authors have three weeks to revise their manuscripts. The handling editor reassesses revised versions, potentially initiating further revision cycles if necessary.
  2. Final Verdict: The handling editor determines whether the revised manuscript meets the journal's standards, leading to either acceptance or rejection.

This comprehensive process ensures that all published articles in Catalyx: Journal of Process Chemistry and Technology meet high standards of academic quality and originality.
