Publication Ethics
Data: Journal of Information Systems and Management is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and actively preventing all forms of scholarly misconduct. Our Editorial Board takes this responsibility very seriously. We have zero tolerance for unethical behavior. All editors, authors, and reviewers must adhere to good publication practices as outlined in the COPE Code of Conduct for Journal Editors. The full guidelines are available on the COPE website as part of our Core Practices.
Authors and Contributors
- Authorship: All authors are presumed to have agreed to the manuscript's content and submission, including obtaining necessary permissions.
- Disclosures: Authors must provide information on funding, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals.
- Corresponding Author: Responsible for coordinating approvals, managing communications, and ensuring transparency.
- Contributions: We publish a statement of author contributions with each manuscript.
- Affiliation: Should reflect where the research was conducted and remains unchangeable post-publication.
- Authorship Changes: Must be approved by all authors before manuscript acceptance.
- ORCID: Authors are encouraged to use ORCID IDs when submitting work.
- Deceased/Incapacitated Authors: Inclusion requires approval from a legal representative.
- Confidentiality: All journal communications are considered confidential unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Authorship Disputes: Authors must resolve these independently.
- AI-Generated Content: Use of AI tools must be transparently described in methods.
- Name Changes: We discreetly update metadata post-publication to protect privacy.
- Journal Staff as Authors: Excluded from editorial decisions on their own manuscripts.
- Ethical Responsibilities: Authors must maintain scientific integrity and respect rejection decisions.
- Error Correction: Authors are obligated to correct significant errors upon discovery.
- Reviewer Suggestions: Authors may propose independent reviewers with appropriate contact details.

Complaints and Appeals
- Initial Handling: By Editor-in-Chief or responsible editor.
- Scientific Content Disputes: Editors assess author arguments and reviewer reports.
- Process Complaints: Investigated by editors and relevant staff.
