Catalyx: Journal of Process Chemistry and Technology is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. Our Editorial Board actively works to prevent any form of publication malpractice. We expect all editors, authors, and reviewers to adhere to good publication practices, as outlined in the COPE Code of Conduct for Journal Editors.
Authors and Contributors
- Authorship: All listed authors must agree to the content and submission process.
- Disclosures: Authors must provide information on funding, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals.
- Corresponding Author: Responsible for coordinating approvals and managing communications.
- Author Contributions: A statement of contributions is published with each manuscript.
- Affiliation: Primary affiliation should reflect where the research was conducted.
- Authorship Changes: Must be approved by all authors before acceptance.
- Author Identification: ORCID IDs are encouraged.
- Deceased/Incapacitated Authors: Inclusion must be approved by a legal representative.
- Confidentiality: All journal communications are confidential unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
- Authorship Disputes: Authors must resolve these independently.
- AI-Generated Content: Use of AI tools must be transparently described.
- Post-Publication Name Changes: Will be updated discreetly to protect privacy.
- Journal Staff as Authors: Excluded from editorial decisions on their manuscripts.
- Ethical Responsibilities: Authors must maintain scientific integrity.
- Error Correction: Authors are obligated to correct significant errors.
- Reviewer Suggestions: Authors may suggest independent reviewers.
Complaints and Appeals
- Initial complaints are handled by the Editor-in-Chief or responsible editor.
- Scientific Content Complaints: Assessed by editors, with potential for independent review.
- Process Complaints: Investigated by editors and relevant staff.
- Publication Ethics Complaints: Follow COPE guidelines, with potential for escalation.
Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose all potential conflicts, including:
- Research Grants and Support
- Employment and Affiliations
- Financial and Non-Financial Interests
Post-Publication Discussion
Content may be removed from the online platform if it:
- Infringes legal rights
- Is subject to a court order or government directive
- Poses a serious health risk
Bibliographic metadata will be maintained with an explanation for removal.
